Where your money is, at every moment
This is the whole idea, so it is worth being precise about it rather than describing it in the abstract.
Your wallet
Yours
Topped up when you like. Nothing is committed until you order.
Escrow
Nobody's
The moment you order. Out of your wallet, and the publisher cannot touch it.
Your review
Still frozen
The link is live. Approve it, or send it back — nothing moves until you decide.
Publisher
Theirs
Released after you approve, and after a clearing period that keeps the guarantee real.
Why we started
Anyone who has bought links at scale knows the routine. You find a site on a spreadsheet someone forwarded you. You email a contact who may or may not own it. You pay up front by bank transfer. Then you wait, chase, and hope.
The people running that process are not villains. They are usually one person with a full inbox — and no escrow, no record, and no consequence for going quiet.
The problem is structural, not moral. So Contenzo exists because we thought it was fixable with software rather than trust. Hold the money until the work is done. Check the sites before they are listed. Give both sides the same record of what was agreed. Almost everything else in the product follows from those three ideas.
Registered in the UK. Working everywhere.
The company is British. The catalogue, the publishers and the buyers are not.
Every market, not just the US and UK
Publishers list from across Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia. If you are building links for a market outside the usual two, the catalogue filters by country and by audience, not just by domain metrics.
Non-English is not an afterthought
Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Turkish, Indonesian and more. Language is a field on every listing, and publishers who write in that language quote a writing price for it — you are not paying someone to run your brief through a translator.
If a market you need is thin in the catalogue, tell us. Sourcing a specific country, language or niche on request is a normal part of what we do, not a favour.
And if you would rather we just did the work
The marketplace is self-serve by design. It is not the only way to work with us.
Tell us the goal
The pages you want to move, the market you are in, and the budget. That is enough to start — you do not need a link plan or a target list.
We handle the SEO side
Strategy and anchor planning, prospecting and outreach, content, technical fixes, on-page work, digital PR, and the placements themselves. Whatever the goal actually needs.
You get results and a record
Every placement still runs through the same escrow, the same vetting and the same 12-month guarantee. Nothing is done off the books.
Some clients want the catalogue and a wallet. Others want to say what they need and see it happen. Both are fine — email the team and say which you are.
What makes us different
Plenty of platforms sell links. These are the choices that separate us from most of them.
Escrow on every order
Your payment leaves your wallet when you order, but the publisher cannot touch it until the link is live and you have approved it. If the post never appears, the money comes back.
Sites reviewed by a person
Real organic traffic, indexing history, whether the outbound profile looks like a private blog network, whether the writing was meant for humans. Listings that stop clearing the bar come off.
Problems have a process
Wrong URL or wrong anchor? File an improvement request with the specifics. The publisher sees exactly what you wrote and resubmits. It is not an email thread that goes cold.
No subscription
No monthly fee, no minimum spend, no credits that expire. Create an account free and pay per order. Buy nothing for six months and you owe nothing.
Publishers set their own prices
We do not mark listings up behind a publisher's back. They set the price, we take a stated percentage, and both sides can see the arithmetic on the order.
One dashboard, both sides
Buyers track spend, orders and live links in one place. Publishers track orders, clearing balances and payouts in another. Neither has to keep a spreadsheet on the side.
How we compare
An honest look at how the usual way of buying links differs from ours.
Typical marketplace
Contenzo
Paying
Elsewhere: Bank transfer or PayPal up front, direct to a stranger.
Contenzo: Held in escrow and released only after you approve the live link.
Vetting
Elsewhere: A spreadsheet of domains with metrics someone pulled last year.
Contenzo: Each site reviewed by hand before listing, and removed if it slips.
If it goes wrong
Elsewhere: You email and hope. There is no leverage once you have paid.
Contenzo: Improvement requests and disputes, with funds frozen until resolved.
Pricing
Elsewhere: Often marked up in the middle without either side knowing.
Contenzo: Publisher sets the price; the platform fee is stated on the order.
Content
Elsewhere: You write it, or you argue about who does.
Contenzo: Send your own, or pay the publisher's listed writing price.
Record keeping
Elsewhere: Scattered across email, invoices and a spreadsheet.
Contenzo: Every order, link and payment in one exportable history.
How we make money
We take a percentage of each completed order, and that is the whole business model. We do not charge publishers to list, we do not sell placements to the top of search results, and we do not take a cut from both sides without saying so.
It matters because it points us at the outcome you want. We are paid when an order completes and the buyer approves it, so an order that goes wrong costs us as well as you. A platform paid by subscription has no such incentive.
What we will not do
A marketplace is defined as much by what it refuses to list.
Private blog networks and rebuilt expired domains
They work until they do not, and the people holding the links when they stop working are the ones who paid for them.
Sites that exist only to host paid posts
If every article on a site is there to carry an outbound link, the link is worth what the site is worth. Which is nothing.
Promise you rankings
Nobody can. What we can promise is that the placement is real, on the site you chose, with the anchor you specified, and still there when you check.

Common questions
Is Contenzo a link seller or a marketplace?+
A marketplace. We do not own the websites in the catalogue — independent publishers list them, set their own prices and do the publishing. Our job is vetting, escrow and dispute resolution.
How do I know a listing is real?+
Every site is reviewed by hand before it appears, and the metrics shown are checked at review. If a site stops meeting the bar it is removed. Beyond that, escrow means you are not exposed even if a publisher goes quiet.
What happens if the post is removed later?+
Report it. Placements are permanent, and we back that with a 12-month guarantee — the link is restored or you are refunded. Read the detail on our guarantee page.
Do you work with agencies?+
Yes, and most of our volume is agency work. Orders, spend and live links export to CSV, which is usually what a client report needs.
Do you have publishers outside the English-speaking world?+
Yes, across Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and beyond. Language and audience country are fields on every listing, so you can filter for exactly the market you are building for.
Can you handle the whole SEO campaign, not just links?+
Yes. Tell us the pages you want to move and the budget, and we will handle strategy, content, outreach, technical and on-page work. Email team@contenzo.co.uk and describe the goal.
Can I sell on Contenzo as well as buy?+
Yes, with a separate publisher account. Plenty of people do both — an agency that runs its own sites is our most common publisher.
