What each side pays
Two sentences, and there is no third.
Buyers
The price the publisher lists, plus their writing fee if you asked them to write the article. Nothing is added at checkout and deposits are not charged a fee — what you put in is what you have to spend.
Publishers
A percentage of each completed order, shown on the order card and in your earnings breakdown before you accept anything. Listing is free, and we do not charge for withdrawals — though PayPal may apply its own conversion.
Optional extras
Each publisher decides which of these they sell and what to charge. Every one is visible on the listing before you order.
Content writing
Added on top of the placement price when you want the publisher to write the article from your keywords instead of sending your own. Only some publishers offer it — where they don't, the option simply isn't shown.
Link insertion
Your link added to a post the publisher already has live and already ranking. Usually cheaper and quicker than a new article.
Banner placement
A display banner for an agreed period. You supply the artwork and destination; the publisher places it. Priced per month.
Sidebar link
A text link in the sidebar, visible across the section it sits in. Rented by the month.
Sitewide link
A link in the header or footer, present on every page. Priced higher than a sidebar link, because it appears in far more places.
Casino and gambling
Publishers who accept it set a separate rate, and that rate replaces the standard placement price rather than adding to it. Orders are checked for it automatically, so it is priced correctly without anyone having to remember a checkbox — and an order that reads this way can't be placed on a site that doesn't accept it.
When publishers actually get paid
Money does not jump straight from your wallet to theirs, and that gap is what makes the guarantee worth anything.
Held in escrow
From the moment you order until you approve the placement. The publisher cannot reach it, and if nothing is published it returns to your wallet.
Then clearing
After you approve, earnings sit for a fixed clearing period. The publisher's dashboard shows the exact date each order unlocks.
Then withdrawable
Paid out to PayPal once the cleared balance is above the minimum. Both the clearing length and the minimum are shown in the dashboard.
Pricing questions
Are there any hidden fees?+
No. Buyers pay the listed price plus any writing fee they chose. Publishers pay a stated percentage of completed orders. Nothing else is deducted by us.
Why is the platform fee not quoted as a fixed percentage here?+
Because it is set in the platform settings and can change. Rather than print a number on this page that could go out of date, the exact split is shown on the order card and in the publisher's earnings breakdown before anything is accepted.
Do I need to deposit a minimum?+
The smallest wallet deposit is $1. There is no minimum monthly spend and your balance never expires — but wallet credit is for spending on Contenzo and is not refunded to your card, so only top up what you plan to use.
What happens to my money if an order is refunded?+
It returns to your Contenzo wallet in full and can be spent on any other listing. Refunds are credited to the wallet rather than back to your card. If something has genuinely gone wrong with a payment, email team@contenzo.co.uk and we will look at it.
Do you offer volume discounts?+
Prices belong to individual publishers, so we do not discount on their behalf. Agencies placing regular volume should email us — we can often introduce you directly to publishers who negotiate.
Which currencies do you accept?+
Prices are in US dollars. Wallet deposits are made by card via Stripe, and land in your balance automatically.
